One of the tools we use every single day at Artist Dynamix is Canva. We edit images for blog posts, create social media posts, design merchandise, create presentations, build lead magnets, and do a whole lot more with it.
It saves us tons of time and helps us collaborate more efficiently as a team.
An example of a project that has relied heavily on Canva from the beginning is Valley of Writers.
We use Canva for creating and scheduling most of the Instagram posts for this project, we also use Canva for creating header images for blog posts on the Valley of Writers website.
Even though we use Canva so extensively, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that we’ve created a total of 5,000 posts together as a team! How awesome is that!
Artist Dynamix founder and CEO, Fungai Tichawangana, was recently featured on the ArtsHub of Western Massachusetts. Caitlin Reardon interviewed Tichawangana about his work helping creatives use the Internet as a business and marketing tool.
The article talks about Tichawangana’s start in web design in Zimbabwe over two decades ago. It traces his journey to realizing the need for a more robust approach to helping creatives harness the power of the Internet for their work.
It also touches on the artists and arts organizations Tichawangana has worked with since moving to Massachusetts. These include Michael Favala Goldman, Steve Bernstein, Nicole M. Young, The Emerging Writer Fellowship, and The WriteAngles Conference.
Yup, we finally took notice of our own SEO and are doing something about it. We’re calling it the Ultimate SEO Makeover. We invite you to follow along and hopefully learn some SEO tricks on this journey with us. It’s going to be fun. We promise.
The idea is that at the end of the makeover, the Artist Dynamix website will rank for relevant keywords; i.e. keywords related to digital marketing and other stuff we actually do.
It’s a big ask, but this is what we do for a living. So despite the fact that digital marketing is highly competitive, we should be able to kick this in the you know what. Right? Right?
We thought we knew about branding until we met Talyn Rahman-Figueroa of Boss Diplomat. Her business focuses on branding for solopreneurs and small businesses. She also does personal branding for entrepreneurs.
Our branding journey with Talyn started when we signed up for her Brand Blueprint service last year. She took Artist Dynamix through an analysis of our brand and how we present ourselves to the world.
One of the most exciting things we did during our sessions with Talyn was zeroing in on who our actual ideal clients are.
It led us to think about what we mean when we say ‘creative entrepreneur’ and was one of the catalysts that inspired us to write this article where we crystallized the answer we give when we are asked, ‘What is a creative entrepreneur?‘.
When she approached us to redesign her website and move it from Squarespace to WordPress, it took us into a deeper dive into thinking more strategically about branding and positioning.
We loved working on this website project. You can imagine the pressure of working with a branding expert on building their main marketing platform!
Well, we did it, and the website is now live! Check it out here!
On March 15, 2023, Artist Dynamix Founder, Fungai Tichawangana, will be conducting a workshop, organized by the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, themed “From AI to Zip Code – Digital Marketing Shortcuts that are Working in 2023”
It is easy for businesses to get overwhelmed with all the tasks that they need to carry out to maintain an online presence, let alone stay ahead of the competition.
This workshop is part of a series being run by the Amherst Area Chamber. The first workshop was on branding and took place last week. It was hosted by Talyn Rahman-Figueroa of Boss Diplomat.
In this edition of the series, we will look at tools and strategies that help entrepreneurs and business owners cut out the noise and focus on the most important parts of a digital marketing campaign.
We will look at:
- The simple things that move the online visibility needle, but which most businesses are not doing.
- How AI tools can help you understand your target market, generate winning content, and monitor what the competition is doing.
- Why businesses need to spend more time focussing on local visibility and how they can win in this game
- New tools like Apple Business Connect and Search Box Optimization
See you there!

About the Instructor
Hi, my name is Fungai. For close to 20 years now, I have been developing websites and digital media solutions. I have done work with banks, transport companies, membership organizations, and other enterprises.
I have also done extensive work with artists and other creatives in various capacities.
Over and over, I have seen how creatives struggle with the business and visibility side of their hustle. Becoming proficient at your artistic skill alone is a lifetime commitment. When you throw in all the other things you need to learn to create an actual enterprise, it becomes really challenging.
As an entrepreneur, I have seen how startups and small businesses struggle with showing up strong online and harnessing the power of digital media.
I started Artist Dynamix to help solve these challenges; to help creative entrepreneurs and institutions of arts & culture solve the challenges of visibility, branding, connection, and growth, and to find ways, while doing that, to create sparks of magic between business and the arts.
At its annual meeting, held at Hampshire College’s Red Barn on January 25, 2023, the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce appointed Artist Dynamix Founder, Fungai Tichawangana, as its newest board member.
Here is the notice sent to members in an email to members of the Chamber on January 27.
At our 2023 Annual Meeting, our board unanimously voted to fill a newly vacant BOARD seat with the approval of Fungai Tichwangana, Founder & CEO of Artist Dynamix.
Fungai joined the Chamber a year ago and became an active and engaged member from day one.
His business, Artist Dynamix is a digital marketing agency based here in Amherst. Its focus is on helping creative entrepreneurs and small businesses cut through all the noise and implement strategies and tactics that deliver results online.
Fungai Tichawangana has been building websites for over 20 years and has worked with clients around the world from a plethora of backgrounds and industries. Find out more at www.artistdynamix.com
We are thrilled to add his marketing and digital branding expertise to our board, a role that we have been looking to fill. He also brings a passion for supporting diverse entrepreneurs, especially in the creative space.
He is also responsible for helping us launch a workshop series “Sparking the Magic in Your Branding: Stand Out & Be Seen” that will go live next week. He is already building business and building community.
Join us in giving Fungai a warm welcome.
