June 24, 2025 – We got tired of running ads all over the place so we built OneAds Local

It started a number of years ago with Valley of Writers. We were running a few ads to support the platform, mostly local or literary-related sponsors. It was simple and manageable. We also ran Google Ads. No stress.

We continued to experiment and launch and experiment with different platforms: New England Blogs, Literary Massachusetts, New Writers TV, etc. We didn’t want to run ads on those platforms because just the idea of managing multiple ad dashboards was nauseating.

Not really. We had other more interesting plans with those websites, and the effort to set up ads did not seem worth it at the time.

Then we launched Amherst Now.

Then Inc413.

By this time, we had an actual plan to leverage these sites for the visibility of other businesses and organizations. We HAD to have Ads.

It quickly became obvious that running a different ads dashboard for each of these websites was going to be a nightmare.

We needed to find another way of doing this. What if we ran all the ad accounts from one dashboard, and all our sites could pull ads from there!?

So we built what we needed: a single, shared dashboard. We call it OneAds Local (Sometimes misspelled: One Ads Local), and it launches today!

OneAds Local will now power the ads across all the websites we manage.

It lets us schedule, track, and rotate ads from one place.

Once we’ve tested it and ironed out all the kinks, we’ll roll it out to other websites.

But, that’s not all! As we built the platform, we realized something else: small businesses don’t just need banner ads. They need help reaching people and getting results.

So we created a bouquet of services to support them as part of the OneAds Local service:

  • Facebook and Google Ads setup and management
  • Google Business Profile optimization
  • Landing page creation
  • Website updates and redesigns
  • Online presence audits

It’s a full 360-degree local reach package that will lean on our Max for Google Business Profiles and AdX Local Spark services.

We expect the testing and tweaking phase to last through the summer. In September, we’ll be opening it up to other publishers and website owners who want a simpler way to manage ads, and a more complete way to support local businesses.

If that sounds like you, stay tuned.
